I can't say I'm excited about the next 72 hours
The further south I have traveled the harder travel has become and the worse the trains. In Sweden we had a compartment to ourselves, lots of leg room, first class treatment, and wifi. By Italy you are piled on top of each other legs to legs, the train is about 200 degrees, and you need a reservation a week in advance.
So, in a desperate attempt to get to the airport by the time my flight leaves I have booked whatever trains are available and will pretty much be spending the next 72 hours on various trains. And when they ask me in customs if I have anything to declare I will say "yea, don't go to Italy."
Actually, it's worth it. Italy has been just the romantic getaway for one that I dreamed of.
