Prague day 2

Tessa and I planned to go see the Catacombs but she had some work stuff come up last minute and we were not able to go.  I sent some time in that park again, playing guitar and enjoying the view.  We met up and decided to visit the palace and big church overlooking Prague.  There was also a toy museum up there which we visited and was full of creepy dolls and cool old steam engine toys.  It was weird because every once in a while there was a completely modern toy mixed in with all these really old ones.

In the evening we met up with Tessa's coworkers and the film crew.  We hung out at a little restaurant for a while. The director of photography had worked on the movie Terminator Salvation.  I asked him about Christian Bale, and if he was really as big a jerk as that now famous behind the scenes blow-up had made him sound.  He said something like "you mean when he was yelling at ME?" He was the guy!

I felt like a bit of idiot for bringing it up, but he had a sense of humor about it, said the day after Christian Bale came up and gave him a big hug and apologized.  He said that sort of stuff happens all the time, the sound guy just usually doesn't record it and release it on the net.  All of Tessa's co-workers were aware that this was that guy, but none of them dared bring it up, so it was pretty funny that I did by accident.

Later we parted ways with the crew and Tessa and I went to a 5 story "disco" on the other side of the Charles bridge.  We ended up on the "oldies" floor which was playing music that completely should not have been called oldies.  The club was full of people who didn't speak English, but it was surprising how they were all singing along to the lyrics of the American songs, especially "it's raining men" for some odd reason.  We had a good time dancing for a few hours then walked back across the Charles bridge (much better at night), said our good byes and went back to our hotels.

The concierge in Tessa's hotel helped me figure out how to get back to the train station using public transportation and after a little trial and error I made it back to the station and set out for Venice.
